The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be kicking off 2024 with several brand new vacancies that our clients are needing assistance with.  We have been contacted by one of our key clients who are based in the near Pebbles but who have various office locations throughout the Scottish region. 

We are assisting them in the recruitment of a personal tax specialist to come and join the organisation on a permanent basis to manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.

The organisation is flexible on working pattern and would entertain applicants working from any of their locations on a hybrid basis.  The organisation also offers excellent corporate benefits such as enhanced pension, a generous holiday allowance, funded CPD, as well as number of other benefits.

The role holder will report into the partner who heads up the area of their business and although you will not be directly involved in managing the team, this can be something that is included within your responsibilities if it is something that is career enhancing. 

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide personal tax advice to a portfolio of clients as well as being responsible for the production, distribution and submittal of personal tax returns.  The role holder will be responsible for their own workload and will be accountable for ensuring that specific tax deadlines are met.

Your client base will mainly be high net worth individuals, trustees, business owners, farm owners, landowners and partnerships. 

You will be expected to build relationships with your portfolio and as such a high degree of communication between you and your clients can be expected.

The Requirements
We are seeking a personal tax accountant who has at least 3 years of experience of working within an accountancy practice environment.  With that being said however, our client is open to looking at candidates who have worked within an HMRC personal tax environment.  Ideally you will be either ACCA/CA/ATT/CTA qualified or be working towards one of theses qualifications.  The key attribute that we are seeking is the experience of completing various personal tax returns, being able to interact with your client base as well as having the ability to manage your workload and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.

COVID19 statement
Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 20% in the office and 80% working at home, however this may change and you may be expected to work more often in the office.  If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them.
